walls are closing in
I can’t breathe nor can I talk
silence will kill me
Haiku by Nicole Lellek
Hello & Welcome

behind the scenes of The Unstuck Space. I am Nicole, Creator of The Unstuck Space and your “silent companion”: well, not so silent at times, but you’ll find out for yourself. 🙂
Before I talk about myself, let’s start with something different. Something even anti-self-marketing, because I will start by recommending a book. And yes, I will risk that you leave the page and never return.
This book is by Gary Keller and called “The One Thing.” It’s the book I always recommend reading, because I firmly believe that we are all capable of many things, but there is ONE thing you truly excel at. So, here is the link.
Hope to see you back! 🙂
You Found Your ONE Thing But Still… This Silent Emptiness.
If you found this space, you most likely have found your ONE THING. And you truly excel. Be it in business, sports, creative expression, or any other kind of work that needs dedication, passion, and a high level of practice or performance.
In short: You are an impact player. Even if you don’t see yourself this way.
Well, chances are you really don’t see yourself this way, because there might be
- this looming silence after a great project
- the fear that there will never be another one
- that the best is already behind you
- that you are “type cast” and never seen for who you truly are, or
- that people don’t care
This silent emptiness loves to hit in the middle of the night, when you should be happy (you’re privileged, after all, right?) or simply on vacations. Let’s be honest, it s*cks. But there is a way out. I know for myself and soon, you will, too.
Now -A Bit About Your “Silent Companion” – Me 🙂
In case you wondered what’s my ONE THING, I will tell you: it’s connection. Surprisingly, though: No, I have not always labeled myself as an “advocate for (more) silence” or a “silent companion,” but all my business life has been about connection.
I have worked for 5 years in a business consultancy and assisted people in better connecting with their clients, and I was an international (up to C-level) headhunter for two decades. The job is all about connecting with clients and prospects, most of them not even thinking about changing jobs.
But that was the outside. The successful outside. The inside? That’s another story. Surprisingly, I always loved silence. But silence as the absence of noise. Otherwise, I had a very chatty mind, always full of ideas. (To this day, btw, but it shuts up when I say to do so.)
And Then Everything Changed
From 2013, I started exploring an additional career track. I became more interested in stress and releasing stress, and to my dismay I started to spiritually awaken in parallel. Nope, I never really liked it. For a few years, I tried to navigate business and spirituality, just to find out that spirituality was the biggest business of all! When I dropped everything because I really got fed up, I found myself in what’s called either the void, nirvana, nothingness, and sometimes even zero point (though that is not the correct term.)
The event was so shocking I literally screamed and almost dropped my coffee mug. Then my mind went silent for three days. I am not kidding. It had to re-adjust to deal with the experience. Because everything was just
Black – Silent – Numb – Hopeless
Tell that to the awakening “bliss bunnies.” 🙂

At the same time, I knew that one day I would be present as a “silent companion.” Though I couldn’t really believe it. In fact, I tried to restore my old job as a headhunter just to find out that it no longer worked the way it did. Finally, I gave in. First and foremost, to my own silence.
I sat with it. Was present with it. Without the “spiritual woo woo” but as somebody who had experienced the void that is the ultimate silence and yet, the space everything springs forth from.
In time, I started to create from this space. First sculptures, then paintings, then poetry then new services. Until I remembered Gary Keller’s book and read it once more.
And I understood my ONE THING in a whole new way, and everything fell into place. Even past encounters which marvelled me because I didn’t know why they happened
- The former “wunderkind” who couldn’t deal with the seeming “failure” as an adult
- The successful rock star who fell into a big, black hole after every tour
- The successful businesswoman literally crying on my couch for not being seen again for who she was
- The successful DJ who seriously wanted to switch lives with me for a week because he believed that my world was more real than his
- The Academy Award winner who went small and silent after the spotlights went off
Yes, I met all these people and more. These encounters or connections plus my own career led to this space
The Unstuck Space
A space where I BE with you if you so choose, as a “silent companion” if needed and one who talks if needed. Somebody who can hold the space in this seeming phase of deafening, silent emptiness. Somebody who can support you in “turning the tables” because here is what most forget to tell you and hardly anyone helps you to experience.
This silence you so much hate right now, is your best buddy. It can hold you, recharge you, overflow you with new ideas and new heights for performance.
You just don’t know how to connect to it yet.
But this can change right now.
With love,
Nicole
